HIGH SCHOOL (9-12) SPRING SPORTS  
 
First day of the 2023-24 Spring Season is February 26, 2024  
 
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN     
 
As schedules become available they will be listed here:  www.lakestevensvikings.com  Please subscribe to your specific sports team to be notified of schedule changes and updates.    
 
All spring teams - EXCEPT Track & Field - are cut sports.  Depending on the number of athletes registered, teams may not be able to accommodate all students who wish to participate.    
 
 

BASEBALL⭐

  *Head Varsity Coach:  David Benson - david_benson@lkstevens.wednet.edu

  *Tryouts:  2/26-2/29

*9th & 10th Graders 3:15-5:00pm

*11th & 12th Graders from 4:30-6:30pm

  *Required: Mitt, baseball pants, jacket, turf shoes, indoor shoes but plan to be outside

 

SOFTBALL⭐

  *Head Varsity Coach:  Sarah Hirsch - sarah_hirsch@lkstevens.wednet.edu

  *Tryouts: 2/26, 2/27, 2/28 at LSHS Softball Field from 3:15-5:30

 

BOYS GOLF⭐

  *Head Varsity Coach:  Cliff McKinlay - cliff_mckinlay@lkstevens.wednet.edu

  *Tryouts - 2/26, 2/27, 2/28 for sure.  2/29 & 3/1 - possibly, depending on # of athletes

  *10th-12th athletes are responsible for transportation to and from the golf course

  *9th grade boys - van available between Cavelero & Battle Creek - talk to Coach McKinlay to arrange a ride

 

GIRLS GOLF⭐

  *Head Varsity Coach:  Jodi Widmann - jodi_widmann@lkstevens.wednet.edu

  *2/26 & 2/27 - Meet at LSHS Batting Cages - 7-8:30pm - bring 7 & 9 iron & putter

  *2/28 - Battle Creek Golf Course (subject to change based on weather)

  *Bring 7 iron and putter

 

GIRLS TENNIS

  *Head Varsity Coach:  Steve Pitkin - steve_pitkin@lkstevens.wednet.edu

  *Starting 2/26, M-F, 3:15-5:15 at the LSHS Tennis Courts

  *Saturday, 3/2 & 3/9 from 9-11am

 

BOYS SOCCER⭐

  *Head Varsity Coach:  Wes VanHooser - wes_vanhooser@lkstevens.wednet.edu

  *Tryouts at CAVELERO - 2/26, 2/27, 2/28 from 3:15-5:30pm - all grades 9-12

  *Team will practice at Cavelero until Spring Break and then move to LSHS for practices

  *All home games for Varsity & JV are played at the LSHS Stadium

 

TRACK & FIELD

  *Head Varsity Coach:  Jeff Page - jeff_page@lkstevens.wednet.edu

  *Monday-Friday, 3:20-5:30pm

  *2/26 - meet in the LSHS Aux gym
